Now Hiring: Farm Crew Member(s)– Organic Farm in Lane County - Full & Part time positions.

Join our small, diversity-dense organic farm located on Poodle Creek Road in Noti, Oregon, where we grow produce for farmers markets, supply wholesale vegetables for Farm to School programs, and steward organic, open-pollinated vegetable and flower seeds with genetic integrity.

While we do have and use tractors on the farm, the heart of our farming happens by hand — planting, weeding, trellising, and harvesting are all done with care using hand tools to give each crop the attention it deserves.

Mechanical abilities
Pay: $17–$20/hr, depending on experience
OPEN POSITION(S)
1 part time position averaging 20 hrs/week. Monday and Friday's working as Harvesting crew.
1 full time position 40-50 hrs/week Monday-Friday
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Harvesting:
Hand-harvest a variety of vegetable crops and seeds with care, ensuring high quality and freshness. Includes sorting, cleaning, and packing produce for CSA shares, markets, and wholesale orders. -
Weeding & Cultivation:
Perform manual weeding and use hand tools or small equipment to manage weeds and maintain healthy crop beds. This includes hoeing, hand-pulling, and mulching as needed. -
Transplanting & Seeding:
Assist in both greenhouse and field transplanting of starts. Participate in direct seeding operations using hand tools or seeders, maintaining accurate spacing and depth. -
Seed Work:
Support the cultivation and maintenance of seed crops, including isolation, roguing (removing off-types), and assisting with seed saving processes such as threshing, drying, cleaning, and packaging. -
Trellising & Crop Support:
Set up and maintain trellising systems for crops like tomatoes, peas, and beans. Includes tying, pruning, and training plants to supports as needed. -
Irrigation & Watering:
Assist with setting up, monitoring, and maintaining drip or overhead irrigation systems, and hand watering in the greenhouse. -
Greenhouse Work:
Sow seeds, care for seedlings, and monitor plant health in the greenhouse. Help with potting up and organizing trays. -
General Farm Maintenance:
Participate in upkeep of tools, equipment, and facilities. Includes cleaning, organizing, and occasional light construction or repairs.
